Maria Agustina Sampaolesi

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Nottingham. I was a visiting student at the University of California, Berkeley, and at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

My research interests lie broadly in macroeconomics, with a particular focus on monetary, international, firm dynamics, and growth.

I completed Masters in Economics at Columbia University and Universidad de San Andrés, and a Bachelor in Economics at Universidad de Buenos Aires.

I have experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked for the European Central Bank, the Bank of England, the World Bank, the Argentinian Ministry of the Treasury, and McKinsey & Company. I also have over ten years of teaching experience across several institutions.

I am on the 2025/2026 Job Market.
